What is a Gym Leader Challenge? – As a player you select a Pokemon type and build a singleton deck around that type. Pokemon with rule boxes are not permitted in this format.
What is a singleton deck? – A singleton deck means you can only have one card with the same name in your deck. The only cards of the same name you may have in your deck are your basic energies. You may play more than one of the same species of Pokemon as long as their card name is different (ex.: growlithe and hisuian growlithe).
What Pokemon sets are permitted? – The legal card pool for GLC includes all cards from 2011s Black and White through the most recent Pokmon TCG expansions! Thats thousands of cards to consider! World Championship printings are permitted in this format!
Are there any cards not allowed in GLC Format? – Yes, there is a current ban list.
