When Shaquille O’Neal entered the NBA in 1992, the sneaker industry was dominated by guards and forwards. The college All-American and national player of the year was about to change the way centers would be viewed and marketed. Shaquille O’Neal signed a lucrative signature shoe deal with Reebok who were expanding into the basketball market. It was a match made in heaven between the star center and shoe company. For six seasons (1992-1998) Shaq would be the face of Reebok basketball. Over his storied 19 year career, Shaq went on to become the most marketable center in league history. While Shaq wore an astonishing size 22 shoe, Reebok does not offer his gigantic size shoe at the retail level. Reebok began releasing the Shaq Attaq shoes in 2013. Upper Deck Authenticated in partnership with Reebok was able to obtain the largest shoes available size 16.5. This pair of royal blue Reebok Shaq Attaq IV with Instapump is a limited edition (10) and signed in silver paint pen on the left shoe.
